The Approach at Rooted Light
Healing is approached as a path for grounded liberation. Liberation from our stories, the habitual patterns that keep us stuck, and the unprocessed pain driving harmful beliefs about our self and the world, all so that we can feel our light.
In practice, that means paying attention to the body. Listening to the parts that formed in response to old environments and are still trying to keep you safe. Making room for what's transpersonal without making it abstract. The healing path is grounded, relational, and paced to the nervous system, a kind of attention and presence offered. Liberation is felt before it's named.
Trainings and Background
Kylie (she/her) has a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Naropa University and is a Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate (LPCC). She is trained in EMDR through the EMDR Institute, and a trained Trauma Professional through Evergreen Certifications. Kylie also has training as a Mindfulness Instructor by Naropa University, sitting in over 500+ hours of silent retreat experience and has special certification in trauma-sensitive mindfulness. Her undergraduate degree in Contemplative Studies and Environmental Science from Brown University supports her introspective presence and deep care for the interconnectedness of life.
Kylie also has training as an energy healer in Holy Fire III/Usui Reiki and Ryosho Reiki with William Rand, completing her master/teacher training in 2019 and renewing it in 2025. She in crystal healing and intuitive guidance for energetic support in the healing process.
Kylie is an Associate Member of the International Center for Reiki Training and teaches reiki classes at Red Rocks Community College in the Integrative Health Practitioner program. For Kylie, reiki is a practice to ignite your true self and spark love within which ripples out into the world.
Originally from southeast Connecticut, Kylie grew up by the oceans and various watersheds that have shaped her deep connection to land and the elements.
